Toronto at Portland 10pm ET
Toronto will have to play a lot better tonight if they want to win the game. They were lucky last night playing a team that is injured and not that good.
Tonight the Raptors play the hottest team in the NBA and one of the most suprising. The Trail Blazers have won eight in a row and have found a groove in the West.
Most thought that when Greg Oden was lost for the year it was time for the Blazers to go back to the lottery and stock up on even more young talent.
Well the young talent they already have is playing great led by Brandon Roy, the Rookie of the Year last season.
Portland has the athletes to give Toronto fits and if their shooting does not return to form it will be a long night for the Raps.
Bosh will get his but it will be up to the rest of the club to get it done. Think of Portland as a team with many Jamario Moons flying around.
I wish T.J. was back because he has been needed badly. With the lack of scoring and shooting touch it becomes clear how valuable Ford is. He is a scorer and can break down pretty much anyone.
Everyone is all over him for not being a true point guard and that Calderon runs the show better. Maybe that is all true but Jose is labouring as of late and seems to be running down. Calderon certainly can run the point and keep everyone involved but when the scoring gets tight and the shooting goes away, he is not going to go off and get the team 30 points like T.J. can.
Against Boston on Sunday and last night against the Clippers, Ford would of changed the game like only he can.
So tonight against the Blazers it will take a team effort to get it done. That means Delfino needs to find his touch and Bargnani needs to find is offensive game.
I am going to predict a Blazers win as much as it hurts me to say it. Toronto just is not playing well as a team and Portland is rolling.
Look for the Blazers to win 97-90.
