If you have not seen the finale of Extras and you plan on watching it, please don’t watch the clip at the bottom.
This part of the show was one of the best segments of the entire series and I loved it every minute of it. It left the boundries of the series and went off on real life Hollywood and the world of entertainment.
You see it through the eyes of both Maggie and the viewer. The words are written perfectly and Ricky does some of his best acting (or was it real?) I have ever seen. If you can watch that and not feel the smallest amount of tears forming in your eyes then maybe you need to watch the whole show.
Ricky said everything that I think when flipping the channels or reading the newspaper when it deals with the tabloid junk in the world. It was so well done and I am glad he said it.
I doubt it will have any influence but if it even made one person look at themself and say “what the hell am I doing?” then it was worth it.
Ricky, you are one talented guy and your genius is greatly appreciated.
Here it is, maybe my favourite moment of television in 2007 and one of the best endings to a series in some time.
