Phoenix 122, Toronto 103

Well Steve Nash did it again. He remained undefeated as a Sun against the Raps as he poured it on in the third quarter to blow out Toronto.

I am going to give Nash all of the credit for how amazing and flawless his passes where even though I am sure it was Toronto’s weak defense that was the main reason.

For the second night in a row Toronto seemed to run out of gas in the third and just got run out of the building.

The only highlight was watching Chris Bosh put together one of his best games as a pro. He was amazing and was a one-man show for Toronto.

He went to the line over 20 times and made almost all of them. He had over 40 points and was hauling down boards against two of the best rebounders in the NBA. It was too bad it was all for nothing in the end.

Once again Toronto fans got a first hand look at what the cream of the NBA crop looks like and how far Toronto still has to go. The exciting news however is that the guy who built the Suns into what it is, is now running the Raptors. The time will come and I am looking forward to it.

Other notes

  • Listening to BC in the first quarter was pretty interesting. I know he would never say anything negative so it has to be taken with a grain of salt. But it was interesting to hear his flat out say that they would do whatever it takes to keep Calderon a Raptor in the summer.
  • Bargnani or bust. That seems to be the Raptors new way of thinking now. He is starting and they want to see what he can do. I think it is a good move. Sink or swim time for Bargs and if he starts to drown they can always come back with Rasho.
  • Grant Hill I think is the happiest guy in the NBA.
