Detroit 101, Toronto 85
Once again Toronto learns how far they are from playing with the big boys in the NBA. They did hang around with the Pistons but really never were seriously close to taking the game. The Pistons toyed with Toronto and everytime the Raps got close, Detroit would methodically run the lead back up to double–digits.
Sheed was bombing from three and the Pistons guards were as good as ever.
It was great to see Bargnani put up points and drive hard to the hoop but he did not add much anywhere else. It is time for this number one pick to bring it every night and stuff the stat sheet.
Bosh seemed to have problems with the Pistons bigs although he did end up with his usual double-double.
When you look at this game the one glaring difference was the bench. Toronto’s usually strong bench seemed to still be on holiday vacation.
The Pistons bench killed them. Rodney Stuckey looked like a season vet and well I love Maxiell’s game.
I still like Toronto’s chances to have a good run but they need to start playing the elite teams better at home.
Last season taking a game at the ACC was a chore for NBA teams. The Raps have to get back to that if they want to grab a four seed in the East.
One cool part about last night’s game was getting mentioned on a very popular Pistons site.
Over at Need4Sheed they enjoyed the fact that I picked Detroit to win even though I am a Raps fan.
“Cuzoogle thinks the Pistons will win, even though they are rooting for the Raps. Plus our friend flipped the script on the picture in his post. It’s Sheed that’s supposed to be in color Cuzzy.”
Better luck next time boys.
