Detroit 103, Toronto 89

I don’t even think the score makes the game seem as bad as it was. It was frustrating to watch and other than the Pistons getting bored in the second quarter, it was not even a game.

Sam Mitchell has to be concerned the way the team came out tonight. They were not ready and did not seem like they were even going to compete. Now that being said, there were some strong efforts from some but as a whole they looked outmatched.

First the obvious. Andrea Bargnani is sinking lower and lower every game. Where did the fire go? Last season he had an attutude. Last season he had no fear. Did it all get taken out with his appendix?

Second, Darrick Martin has to go. Every time he comes in the game he shoots. Usually he misses and it leads to fast break points. What is he thinking? He has not even got a sweat going and he is chuckin. As outmatched as Dixon is at the point I will take that any day over Skeelo. When oh when is T.J. coming back?

That second quarter was a good sign. The Raps got back in it with defense and going to the hoop. The passing and shooting was great. But looking back, was it their strong play or Detroit just coasting? The Pistons have a habit of doing that and against the better teams or players (LeBron) sometimes it bites them in the ass.

I did not expect Toronto to win. However I did not expect them to put up a game like that. Against the top teams like Boston, Phoenix and Detroit, Toronto just does not get up for it. I would think they would considering that if they don’t they are going to get blasted.

Sam had every right to get all pissy with the refs at the end but he was just taking his overall frustration out on somebody.

Back to the ACC for a spunky Kings team tomorrow. I hope they iron out some kinks and maybe install a new program into Bargs like they do in the Matrix.

I am going to sign off because all I can really write is negative stuff even though there were a few bright lights tonight.

Hopefully I don’t see anymore Rip jumpers in my dreams.
