For those of you who know me I have been anti-coffee (Starbucks) forever. I am a tea drinker so why on earth would I buy into the whole Starbucks scene?

Classic orange pekoe is my life and fancy coffee shops are not a place to overpay for a tea bag and lukewarm water.

Recently after discussing with Katie how I used to drink steamed milk in the fancier coffee houses, Miss Rock suggested I try a chai latte at Starbucks. Katie does not need any excuse to hit the local Starbucks so we went and we got two to go.

I really enjoyed it even though I never find they make them hot enough for my lava proof mouth. I ended a long running streak, I had something at Starbucks other than a gross tea or a cold drink.

Today we went out with Bosco to Point Pleasant Park and I suggested we stop at Starbucks on the way home and get some lattes. Crazy eh!

So after a relaxing walk around the park we hit the Starbucks. I went in and got Katie a grande hot chocolate, extra hot with whipped cream and I branched out even more and got a grande vanilla latte. It was not after that I clued in that there is actually coffee in those as opposed to the chai ones. Whoops.

Oh well I drank it and even though it was not as good it still was an interesting taste. Being a lifer on the tea side of things, coffee really, really jumps out at me. It was all I could taste even though it was not the main component of the drink.

It was enjoyable, still not hot enough but it was a nice change.

So I have had Starbucks coffee. Call the newspapers, post it on your blog, hell tell my mum in the grocery store.

What next, a cell phone?? Fat chance.
