Philadelphia 99 Toronto 95
I was out for dinner and picked the game up at the end of the second. Boy did I start watching at the wrong time. The third quarter might of been the worst quarter I have seen all season. Willie Green looked like MJ going off on Toronto.
Everyone looked gassed and not interested. The rally at the end was somewhat exciting but it was too little too late. If AP’s three would of dropped the Raps might of won a game they had no business winning.
Forgetting the loss, tonight’s game made it very clear what Toronto’s team lacks. Watching Sam D and Reggie Evans go to the glass was getting very frustrating to watch. Toronto needs a player like that badly, someone who wants the ball and does whatever it takes to get it.
From the Barg highlights I saw, he is never even in a position to rebound, let alone trying to block someone out.
I don’t want to keep ripping on the guy but he is making it easier and easier every game.
With no game until Wednesday the media and fans are going to be feeding on Il Muggo for days. Maybe he doesn’t deserve it but right now he is the guy to look at for Toronto’s average record.
Tonight it was Juan Dixon of all people to spark a comeback. He had 18 points I believe and even missed a pretty easy layup in the process.
Jamario Moon kept up his amazing glue play doing all the little things. His take off on that almost dunk in the fourth was the most exciting play of the night. Oh man what could of been. His eyes light up!
Joey G gave some valuable minutes off the bench and maybe he is going to bump past Bargs soon on the pecking order. Might as well at this point.
Other notes
- It was great to see D-Mart in street clothes, can’t chuck it when you are not playing.
- Leo’s grades were weak at half time. Cream puff weak. Nobody gets a D?? This team must be perfect.
- We know. Iggy was drafted one after Hoffa, move on.
- Has it ever been suggested to bring in someone to coach and teach Bargs? Look was Kareem has done for Bynam in L.A.
- Random thought came to me tonight. Forget Dirk, I would be happy if Bargs turned out to be Detlef Schremp. The guy did it all.
- Where has Carlos gone?
- CB4 rest up, KG is upcoming.
Tonight’s game should of been a W but whatever, the regular season is full of stinkers. I just did not like seeing the lack of focus coming out of the locker room. If you can’t show life at the start of the third how can you expect to win.
Okay Raptors bloggers we have days of nothing to fill. Can we do it without picking on Andrea too much??

That was a terrible game to watch. Mediocre teams lose games they should win and win games they should lose. That is what the Raps look like more and more.
This is a team that can’t/doesn’t rebound. Almost 70% of NBA games are won by the team that gets the most rebounds. It might be a place to start.
They have a tough month coming up. They will need to play much better to get out of February above .500
I’d be happy if Bargs turned into Rik Smits. We’re all wondering the same about if Bargs even has a big man coach.
Rik Smits was a pretty good player, I’ll settle for Mehmet Okur.
[...] a quick drive home it was time to watch the remainder of the Raptors game. Sadly this was a let down as you may of already read on the blog. The game was a joke and I was [...]
Bargs is a straight shooter. No other skills as far as I can see.
If he could pass anywhere near as well as Smits or Okur then I wouldn’t be so sour on his in the long term.
He needs to play in the paint. But they don’t ask him to do that.
