Toronto 114, Boston 112
WTF! I did not see that happening but I am finally sitting down after jumping around the living room.
The Raptors did the unthinkable and beat the NBA best Celtics on the green floor!
Sam Mitchell’s reaction said it all!
Okay, okay, time to calm down, it is one game, let us not start packing our bags for the playoffs yet.
Screw it I am happy! Forget the turnovers and forget the Raps could not get a rebound to save their life. They did everything else right and it was everyone.
If you are wondering why I mention spinach in the title, apparently according to Chuck and Leo, Andrea Bargnani had some pasta and a spinach salad for dinner last night. Get the kid some spinach!
Il Muggo had one of his best overall games as a Raptor and came pretty close to getting a triple double. Yes do a double take. For all the crap that has been dumped on the big guy over the last two weeks, Bargs stepped tonight and looked like he belonged. I hope it keeps up because we can all overlook what he isn’t doing a whole lot easier when he is back to being a gunner.
Maybe a few more games and I will have to make a new ad for Bargs.
Parker, Delfino and Calderon were all gunning themselves. Wow, the three ball was dropping like Timbaland remixes.

All is well in Raptorland at least until Friday.
As AP said after the game. The Raps can beat anyone anywhere but they can also lose to anyone, anywhere. The best way to sum up this team this season I would say.
Other notes
-
Why does Bosh get treated like a rookie? Do the refs know he is an All-Star? Watching him get fouled almost everytime down the floor was brutal. That one where Big Baby hit him in the face was so obvious.
- At the end of quarters the other team always scores against the Raps. It is killing them. I was amazed the Celts did not win it at the buzzer.
- Funny to say but Bargs went to the bench and the Celtics pulled away at the end of the third. Ray Allen on a break, don’t waste a foul, he isn’t missing the freebies.
- The turnovers were killer. To shoot that well and to not have a lead of more than five or six should not happen.
- Celtics defense did not give up more than 96 points at home until tonight.
- Chuck is running the streets naked.
- It keeps running through my head that this makes the loss to the Sixers hurt even more.
- Could Mighty Mouse be coming back to TO? Personally I don’t think we need him (assuming TJ is back) Damon could go a little Mike James and hurt the team. But if it means keeping him away from Boston, I think he could replace D-Mart no problem.
- Was AP and Delfino on fire tonight. Man they like those rims in Beantown.
- Jamario Moon looked like a rookie for maybe the first time this season. He did a few good things but he looked lost and nervous. Ah we will cut him some slack, he might be already thinking about his dunks for the dunk contest.
- Jason Kapono is hurting. I am not going to blame him too much. He was brought in to shoot and as Leo said, the Raptors are having a hard time getting him the ball where he needs it. I will say it again….all will be well when T.J. is back.
- The Celtics really missed Posey. He always hurts the Raps with the threes from the corner.
- Doc Rivers must know who Calderon is now. Hey coach put him in the All-Star game.
As great as that win was, there will be a lot for Sam to talk about when watching the tape. The turnovers and rebounding were weak. If the Raps took care of the ball like they normally do, they would of won by seven or eight. Picky, picky I guess.
Lets enjoy this feeling while we can. The Raps could very easily lay an egg against the Bucks on Friday.

Who are these Raptors? LOL.
Yeah, CB4 being mugged is a nightmare VS the Celts. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Celts don’t win 1/2 their games w/out refs interference.
i totally agree, it was a great win, but the celtics didn’t seem like they were into it tonight. the raptors kept turning it over, giving the celtics extra looks. had it not been for the great shooting (58% from the floor, and 71% behind the arc), the celtics would have fell ass backwards into a win tonight. good win, but don’t get complacent, have to keep working.
the refs ignored Bosh because he was playing timid and passive…as usual when the competition gets tough and the game is meaningful.
Great game, Great ending.
Bosh is a monster. He looks more and more like KG.
Calderon is so much fun. He is going to cost a lot. Good for him.
