Cuz-erole, Pizza and a battle with wordpress

Good Saturday morning to one and all. I hope it is warmer where you are than it is in Halifax. Just sticking my head out the door to get the paper my nose hairs froze up and fell off. Brrrrrr.
So what has been going on at Kline HQ that does not involve Raps?
Yesterday I finished off another decent week of plastering my resume all over town and felt pretty good with it. Friday I usually only “work” until noon or so and try to enjoy my time off. I mean if I have the time I might as well enjoy an extra long weekend while I can. Soon enough I will be working again and wishing I had more time.
The plan was to continue the process of moving Cuzoogle to it’s own domain and onto the other wordpress platform. That would mean there would be no wordpress in the address and I would be free to do whatever I wanted with ads and plugins and basically personalize the blog even more.
I was using my michaelcusden.com domain as a test and learning all the installations and ways to make it work. When I do move Cuzoogle I want it to be seamless and easy. Might as well do some research with a test site first.
Well it was a learning experience and in the end I scrapped it for now. I want to find a much easier way. I think other host providers offer a one-touch installation and I may go with that.
I did learn a lot about the back end of things and I now have a better idea of just how easy the free version of wordpress is to use.
My other project of the day was dinner. I have been wanting to use my new casserole dish that I got for Christmas.
I chose a recipe I found online for an italian sausage casserole. Very simple and a good way to break in the dish.
The recipe
* 1 red bell pepper, julienned
* 1 green bell pepper, julienned
* 1 1/2 pounds Italian sausage, browned, cut into 2″ pieces
* 2 onions, sliced
* 2 medium potatoes, diced in 1-inch pieces
* 2 tablespoons dried basil
* Salt and pepper to taste
* 28 ounces Canned tomatoes (3 cups), diced with juice
Combine all ingredients in large covered casserole and bake in a 350° oven for about 1 1/2 hours.
Serves 4.

The preparation took about 20 minutes and once it was all thrown in the dish most of the work was done.
The house smelled great for 90 minutes and when it was time to serve I added a side salad spinach with it. For a cold Friday night it was the perfect healthy and cozy dinner.
I know Katie enjoyed it and it seemed to perk her up after a long and tiring week of work.
The best part is the left overs will also make a great pasta sauce.
So the dish is officially used and it was a great first shot.
After dinner it was Raptors time. The game was not that exciting but I will take a 30 point win any day. Takes the stress off the whole situation and God knows there have been enough of those games.
Raptors fans got their pizza and everyone went home happy, well except the Bucks.
I did play around with wordpress a little more before bed but finally called it a day.
Who knows what is in store for Saturday but I know it won’t include job huntning, not at least until Monday.
