I am sure those of you who don’t come here to read about the Toronto Raptors have been waiting for some kind of update on me.

Well no news is good news I guess. I am still plugging away on the job hunt, resumes are lifting off and taking flight. I am just hoping they land and do some good work pretty soon.

I have been building up some contacts for future work even if it is freelance and I have had some call backs to date. As you know, it is a process that can seem deflating at times but even the smallest thing can make it feel worth while some days.

So what else have I been up to?

  • I have been reading and researching and testing out ways to make the blog a lot more profitable. There is money out there to be made and if I can use this blog to do it, more power to me. There will be some changes coming soon but don’t worry, the content is not changing. Stay tuned for that.
  • I have been keeping myself entertained with downloaded televsion shows. I am currently glued to watching It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. It is so well done and funny, I will be sad when I run out of episodes.
  • Taking care of the home base. I do my best to keep things clean and tidy around Kline and try to make life a little easier for Katie when she comes home after a long day. I have the time, the least I can do is take care of that stuff.
  • A lot of Bosco walks and playing with him. He will certainly be sad when I am back to work and not around all the time.
  • I have already slacked off on the reading but am going to try and get back into it. I want to get a book from Chapters but am holding off until I finish the ones I have.
  • Bought some new jeans with my Sears gift card.
  • Trying to stop biting my nails. I am on day three and if I succeed even just a little I may post about it.
  • Cooking a lot and trying to add some dishes to the recipe box.
  • Obsessing about my Alexa rating. It is basically a number that says how popular your site is. To give you an idea. Google is 1 and Cuzoogle is 976,186. But it was 1,104,802 when I started focusing on it. Progress!
  • Had a Starbucks treat three weeks in a row, safe to say that I enjoy the chai latte.

I think that is it for now. Not very exciting but how fancy can you be when you are looking for work and trying not to spend the money you don’t have yet. It will happen, it is all about being positive and not giving up.
