Toronto 114, Miami 82
Welcome back T.J., sorry I was not able to see your return but I don’t have digital cable. I had to wait to see the highlights before posting and I have to say that was a sick, wicked and nasty dunk in the fourth.
Ford is back, Bargs is rolling and the Raps put a whipping on the Heat. Hard to believe it was not that long ago that Miami was a power in the East. Guess that is what happens when you lose Kapono.
I had the live game log on the computer and even from a bunch of stats and words scrolling by it was clear this game was never close.
Bosh dominated as expected, Calderon has his averages in the first half and it made for a nice and easy comeback for the Little Engine.
I know the Heat are depleted but did they even put up a fight? I thought D-Wade was an All-Star??
How about Bargnani! Two amazing games in a row and he is doing more than just chucking threes. The driving dunk, the bullet passes….did he drink some Larry Bird juice?
I know it was against the worst team in the league but this is a good sign of things to come. The team is almost close to firing at full strength and they are playing how all of us Raptors fans thought they would coming out of the gate in November.
Moon had nine boards and even Kapono had a decent game in front of his old fans. I like it, I like it a lot.
The question now is, what do we talk about for four days until the Raps play the Clippers? If only there was some kind of story to debate and talk about. If only……wait……oh yes…..the whole debate on who should run the team as a starter once T.J. is back in the groove?
The Toronto media and all the bloggers will be talking about this one for the rest of the season and to be honest is there really a right answer? All that matters at the end of the day is that the team is winning.
50 wins and another division title would be nice but they are unlikely. What I want is the team to be healthy and rolling with steam into the playoffs and not caught up in the moment of just getting there.
Boston and Detroit are the head of the class in the East but I don’t think in a seven game series that the Raps are that far behind them.
If BC could add a rebounding machine before the deadline that would be ideal.
I really got off tonight’s game eh? Hard to write about it when you were watching Prison Break instead.
By the way, Michael and the boys did not break out yet. Maybe next week?
So it was a good night in Raptorland and everyone can spend the next four days thinking good things. It is time to make a move. It is time to sneak up and bite the NBA in the ass. If the Giants can win the Superbowl, why can’t the Raps go far?
Enjoy your pancakes tomorrow and we will chat again soon.
