Good morning to the Cuzoogle nation, how goes the day where you are? Here in Halifax it is dreary with a sprinkle of snow on the ground and not that cold.
The site has been jumpin the last few days and I am sorry that I have not had time to add some personal related posts. It takes a lot of time to get things set up and the content machine working.
Ads are firing on all cylinders and the traffic is coming in better and better each day.
So what have I been up to other than obsessing about the blog? Well let me tell you all about it.
Yesterday more snow came in two waves and that meant a lot of shoveling. I actually like doing it if you can believe it. It is the same as cutting the grass in the summer. I don’t really think of it as a chore but as some time to get some exercise and to think.
It is nothing like what Toronto got today as you can see from the photo above sent in by JPR.
I finished up some changes in the house and I think it looks pretty good. We will see what Katie thinks when she gets home tonight.
There was all the usual daily stuff like walking Bosco, checking the mail and of course the job hunt. I have a few great postings to work on that close next week so that is what I am focusing on.
There has been some feedback and I am keeping my name in the loop for any freelance work. The blog has certainly tricked my brain into thinking I am working and it makes for a much more enjoyable day. It gets harder and harder to feel comfortable watching movies and living like you are on vacation as the hunt goes on.
A friend of Katie and myself is in Halifax for work this week so he called around 5:30 to say he was heading over for a visit. Steve got a tour of the place and we chatted about Shaq being traded and catching up on the gossip of Toronto. Bosco of course gave Steve his own special welcome and would not leave the guy alone.
We headed out to Maxwell’s Plum and it was kind of like passing the torch for me. When I first was in Halifax, Andrew, of Beer and News, broke me into the city and all it has to offer. So to continue the path Steve and I went to the same place where my Halifax drinking journey began.
That of course meant BREWTENDER! Steve could not of been more surprised and happy seeing the shiny fountain of beer being set on the table. Just like I remember it. I think it is a Halifax tradition to get a tender and I know Steve will pass the tale to everyone back in TO.

We had some pub grub and debated the NBA and the Raptors and any other sport that came up. A very good time was had at the Plum.
Home and sleeping by 12:30am , I crashed pretty hard. Not drunk enough to stop for a donair on the way home (sorry Andrew) but I was drunk enough to have a good sleep.
Steve crashed on the couch with Bosco and woke up today ready for work and a new day.
Dropped him off at work and now I am back to start the routine again today.
As for the topic of nails. I have gone 10 days without biting my nails and I have to say it has not been that hard. Sure they are getting to the point of where I could go to town on them but I am holding back. Hard to believe eh?

1Glad to see the Maxwell’s Plum tradition is alive and well. Hopefully I’ll get to join you there in the near future.
