L.A. Clippers at Toronto 7pm ET

Finally a game to watch. It has been over a week since I have been able to watch my team on TV and I am actually missing the play-by-play of Chuck.

Tonight for the second straight Friday the Raps host a team from La-La Land but this time it is not the Black Mamba and the Lake show. It is the less successful brother, the Los Angeles Clippers.

It is hard to really get into a preview or even write much when facing the Clippers. They are a bad team because of injuries and it should be an easy win for Toronto. The drama of course is that the Raptors are playing and all of us who follow them know a win is never in the bag.

I am finally starting to think they have figured out that have to beat the garbage teams and pile up wins. The game against the Heat showed that they do know how to not play down to their opponent and to squash a team when they are bad. Then again just a few weeks ago they gave pity to the Wizards and lost a game they should of taken.

T.J. is back and Il Muggo has reinserted his appendix of power so the Raps are ready to start rolling. I don’t see how a team can match up with them at the point once Ford is back to playing at 100%. Whoever comes off the bench is going to have a great advantage against most of the backups in the league.

The one interesting part of the Clippers being in town is it gives BC a front row seat to look at many players that are ready for deals. The Raps could use a Maggette on the floor and I don’t think it would take a lot to get him.

I would just watch out for crafty Sammy though. He hacked Rondo down the other night and with Ford still on the rebound there is the potential for a brawl worthy of a Leafs game.

The Clippers are bad, the Raptors are good. It should be as simple as that. I predict Toronto will start out slow but eventually get rolling and everyone will celebrate the team’s 1000th game with pizza.

Raps take it 109-94.

I can only imagine what Chuck has lined up for a night when he has an open floor to talk about every detail in Raptors history. Pray to God we don’t hear about The Bang Brothers of a few seasons ago.
