L.A. Clippers 102, Toronto 98

Well wasn’t that a crappy way to spend a Friday night. I still can’t believe the Raptors lost that game. The whole night it was like watching a game on tape that I knew who won. No stress, lots of great plays and it was in the books before I even got a snack.

Then all of a sudden the Clippers came back and had an 18 point run! Are you kidding? A banged up Clippers team should not have a run like that on the road.

Corey Maggette would look pretty good in a Raptors uniform. I have been kind of unsure about bringing in someone like that but after watching him tonight, trade whatever it takes.

It was getting tiring watching the guy score all night but that is not even what beat the Raps.

It was Al Thornton that did us in. Once again the Raps make a rookie’s career. The guy was doing it against all comers and even schooling Bosh a few times.

The Raps did not help with all their bad shots. The Clippers wanted to give the game away with endless turnovers but the Raptors kept giving it right back. Painful.

Forget everything I said earlier today, this team does not know how to beat the teams they should. They will remain a two steps forward one step back team til BC brings in a new guy who can board and score at the small forward spot.

The 1000th game will go down as a stinker.

Other thoughts 

  • Wicked teaser to start the broadcast. I had the goosebumps.
  • Carlos went for the dunk of his life and came up with iron.
  • T.J. does not have the shot back yet but it will come.
  • I like Bargs and Rasho on the floor together.
  • Favourite part of the game was no D-Mart.
  • Great typo of the night. Carter scores 51 points on NBA. Whoops I hope they meant NBC.
  • Where was the Hump?
  • It was a breath of fresh air to see Moon start the game not shooting a jumper. He needs to do that more.
  • They lost to the Clippers!!
  • T.J. had his headband on upside down.
  • Glad the 1000th game is over so everyone can stop talking about the past.
  • Even though he is a baby, VC had some sick dunks in the purple.
  • Funny to see how skinny Bosh was.
  • Al Thornton should play the Raps every night.

Off to Minny we go, I have no idea what to expect other than Big Al getting a giant double-double.
