The other night for dinner we whipped up a tasty serving of sloppy joes. Now it is not a fancy dish but you are fibbing if you tell me you don’t love the taste. Soft buns holding together a large helping of saucy meat covered in cheese. Sounds pretty good. It got me thinking that the sloppy joe needs a better name. I mean it is sloppy and messy to eat but it does not make the dish sound that inviting. While I try to come up with a name that paints the sloppy joe as a classy meal, here is a list of Joe’s from around the world of sports who certainly don’t fall into the “sloppy” category. Oh and please check out the simple recipe for sloppy joes at the end.

1. Joe Carter

2. Joe Sakic

3. Joe Dumars

4. Joe Montana

5. Joe Dimaggio

6. Joe Frazier

7. Joe Graham (just kidding)

That is only a short list but I wanted to get to the recipe and pictures of our sloppy joe meal. Feel free to add a Joe to the list.

Leftover meat sauce is great for pasta as well.
