Toronto 108, Miami 83     

Okay the Raps got a much needed win and there were a lot of things done right but I am not going to get all excited. They whipped the worst team in the NBA. That is what they were supposed to do. The Raps torched the Miami Heat and had the game pretty much won in the second quarter. What might surprise you if you did not watch was who led the team in scoring.

Yes sir that scoring machine known as the Rasho-saurus poured in 16 points and had 10 board. Who needs Bosh!

This was a balanced effort for the Raps with everyone scoring but JOEYYY.

AP and Bargnani started off hot and early and broke the Heat spirit before Riley’s hair began to dry.

Hopefully a good feeling of getting a win and doing several things right will carry over to games that will be harder.

The next two at the ACC are crucial before they head west where they will be lucky to win one game.

One of the scary parts of the game was the brutal flying body check on Bargnani. How was the dude not tossed for doing that? Il Muggo got hit so hard I was not sure if it knocked the Italian right out of him.

A chipped tooth seems to be the damage and it was impressive that he came out and nailed both free throws. The kid is tough I will give him that. Let us all imagine really hard the drama that Vince Carter would of created with a blow like that. Done?

Kapono did a great job of not hurting his three point percentage again. What a guy, I mean every other Raptor finds the time to jack up a three but Kapono keeps taking “quality shots” as Leo likes to say.

BC brough the guy in to fire threes. Shoot some god damn long balls Kapono. I want Chuck to adopt the saying “Oh my god I have a Kaponer!”

Ford was in control for the most part and Calderon is back to being the Jose we all know and love.

Yep the Heat are bad but let us think of this game as a greasy meal the morning after a bad night of drinking. Not the most thrilling win but it got the bad taste out of their mouths for the time being.

Other thoughts

  • Actually Chuck we don’t need to see what goes on in the truck.
  • Is Slovenia/Canada such a huge rivalry that it has to be mentioned all the time?
  • Adnan watches movies, we get it.
  • I think Shawn Marion misses Steve Nash.
  • Jamario is a character, love his interviews.
  • My favourite image on the bench is always D-Mart in a suit.
  • I was expecting Primoz to get in a brawl at some point. He had it in his eyes.

Next up the Wiz……I hope the Raps don’t get Blatche-slapped again.
