Washington 110, Toronto 106 OT
Well it happened again. No not a huge snow dump in Ontario, another Friday night loss for the Raptors. They are becoming painful to watch. They are really, really getting to me. The only team they can beat is the Miami Heat. I am scared to think what is going to happen for the rest of this month. I just hope they stay in the playoffs by the time we reach April.
They almost pulled it out but really it never should of been that close. If the Wizards took care of the ball just a little bit better this game would not even of been close.
Once again rebounding was the problem. The Raptors got killed on the glass once again and it is becoming too frustrating to keep bringing up. Yes Jamario got some big boards but he should get more. Jamario if you read this (Oh I know you do) watch the following video and post it on your Facebook page for all your teammates to see.
Got a clue now? Yep you gotta put your body on someone and not just jump over them.
Before I continue with the bitching and moaning there was some good tonight.
Calderon had a great game and I was all ready to write a post telling Gilbert Arenas to suck on some onions. Calderon almost by himself won the game but even he had a few brain cramps in the end.
Andrea Bargnani had a big game with five threes but I wanted more from the big dude. He missed two big free throws that would of been nice.
Delfino played hard and really added some spark but he needs to finish at the rim after making such good cuts.
Okay back to the bitching.
T.J. Ford, I love yah, I am big fan but what are you doing? You looked like you got payed off by the Wiz tonight and can you at least smile over there on the bench?
Primoz is the new kid in town and he is the only one up slapping fists and showing some excitement. Maybe a little too much with the tech but I will take it. He at least has some fire.
I was about ready to rip Sam apart when Ford was tossing the game away but he got Calderon back in the game pretty fast. Tired? Who cares, do they have any idea just how big that game was??
Ah Friday nights are becoming painful for me. No more Raptors games on Friday please.
Other notes
- Why was Bosh not on the bench? Just curious.
- Loved the wave, hey if the game sucks make your own fun.
- Roger Mason Jr. - official Raptors killer.
- I wonder what Gilbert will blog about tonight.
- Ask the Expert may of been the worst ever tonight. “What does it mean to keep the ball alive?” for real??
- Dear Leo why is the basketball orange?
I was going to write this post right after the game but had to chill out with some local news. Yep winter weather did the trick.
See you Sunday, I hope the Raps don’t forget to set the clock ahead and miss tipoff.

great video, i nominate you for rebounding/toughness head coach. it bugs me when a player is injured, and they don’t sit on the bench with the rest of their team. leads me to wonder things….anyways, the raptors are going to finish about 43/44 wins, and get rolled in the first round, regardless of who they play, any doubters?

Why have John Lucas around and have him work exclusively with TJ? He’s a legendary coach when it comes to teaching bigs toughness, give him Hump and Andrea for a week or two, please!

First round for sure…..no way they get past anyone unless Howard, LeBron and Jamison all get busted for roids.
I got an email from Jay Triano, he passed the rebounding video on to Maceo and D.Mart
A ‘How to box-out & rebound training video’ from former Raptor Tracy Murray, of all people … Oh, the irony in that …
… did Murray ever (EVER) box-out during his NBA career? … well, maybe once … sometime during a REM Sleep period, on the road, vs Sacramento, or Golden State … maybe.
Blake,
John Lucas was a great US college player; a mediocre NBA player; a decent NBA head coach; and, reputedly, a good rehabiliitation trainer for those seeking to re-establish themselves as legit NBA workers, after losing their way in the world due to personal drug abuse … but, as afar as I know, he has no rep at all, as a ‘legendary trainer known for teaching Bigs physical toughness’. LOL

Yeah I was trying to find something else cause T-Murray never boxed anyone out.
He did like to shoot the threes, would be a good fit with the current raptors bunch for both reasons.
