Toronto at Golden State 10:30pm ET
Well last night’s game was not the gong show I thought it was going to be as the Raps played an entertaining game against the Lakers. No D and too many three balls for L.A. did the job in the end. If the Raps thought that game was an up and down track meet with little stops, tonight’s game against the Warriors could be a total bettors dream event.
Golden State even when they were bad scared me. They love to score and the Raptors have never been what I would call a lock-down kind of club. Toronto seemed to try and run with the Lakers last night and kept up with them to a point. If they try and play the same game tonight, well it will be over fast. Golden State does not care to even try and play defense so feeding into their style will only get Baron and company jacked up to score record totals.
The Raps need to slow it down and run some offensive sets. Not just T.J. coming down and dribbling around until someone cuts to the hoop. Yes Ford has been taking a lot of shots and have been out of control but if you watch when he is in the game, nobody moves. If they had any plays it would benefit the whole team and take advantage of the passing skills of Ford and Calderon.
Hopefully Bargnani will play more tonight. He got a lot of unneeded rest in the fourth last night and I still don’t get it.
Delfino has to put something on the board other than long bombs that have no shot.
AP and Rasho have really stepped up since Bosh went down and I am hopeful their play will not drop off once CB4 returns. Parker kept Toronto alive by himself for much of the Lakers game and is becoming more and more comfortable being the man on the floor.
Ford will do well in the up tempo game and yes he has to score but I am hoping he gets others the ball as well. Coming down every chance he gets and doing his best Mike James impression is not making him many fans.
Ford had 29 points, nine assists and six rebounds against the Warriors on Nov. 18, but the Raptors fell 106-100 as Action Jackson returned from a seven-game suspension to score 17 points in his season debut with the Warriors.
Jackson looks to continue his hot 3-point shooting as the Warriors go in search of their seventh win in eight games.
Golden State leads the NBA in scoring at 110.8 points per game thanks to Nelson’s offense, which plays a pace as fast as any other team in the league.
The Raps better buckle down on Jackson tonight. He has made 23 of his 46 3-point attempts over his last five games to extend his streak of games with at least one 3-pointer to 22.
Despite having played in only 53 games, Jackson has 134 3s - more than any other player on a Warriors team second in the league in 3-pointers, and just 11 shy of his career high set in 80 games in 2003-04.
You think it was painful watching the Lakers jack up shots? Tonight will be deadly.
Once again I will be up way past my bed time to watch the Raps lose again but I will never miss a chance to watch a game in G-State.
They play like an Xbox game and the crowd is about as loud as you will find.
Baron will posterize someone (Bargs or Hump) and the Warriors will run the Raps out of the gym to a tune of 117-100.
Painful but expected.
On with the road show from hell.

I don’t mind Delfino throwing the occasional long-bomb if he’s playing good defense, fighting for rebounds and at least *trying* to go to the basket. Streaky shooting is one thing, but those are things he should be bringing every night.
Yes I agree. If the shots are in the flow of the game and he is hot then go for it.
Delfino is one of the most up and down guys on the team.
Going by the numbers he is due for a good game soon.
the only thing i hate about delfino is peoples reaction to him. he takes the same kinds of shots every game. in the games he hits them, he is a saviour, in the games he doesn’t, he is a guy who takes some bad shots. makes no sense to me.
he should be taken as a guy who is a 7th or 8th guy off th bench, and plays 15 minutes per, hits some shots, drives a couple times to the rack, grabs some boards and plays good defense.
