The Beard puts Golden State on top

Another entertaining game on the west coast for Raptors fans but another loss. I never thought it would be as close as it was but in the end it was all Baron Davis. The Beard took over when he had to and put the Raps to rest late in the final quarter. Toronto did a lot of things right but it was the same old problems that did them in again. I wrote my thoughts down as the game was going on. It kept me awake and it kept my lap warm thanks the the lap top. I need sleep bad so I will catch up with all of you later on today.

Woo hoo the game is finally starting, I can stop flipping the channels hoping for something good to watch.

• Adnan has pop culture verbal diarrhea. It is painful to listen how long he tries to go without taking a breath. Not a natural at all.
• Tip up next, can’t wait.
• Steve Nash still can’t find the arena without his GPS.

• Baron Davis is going to go off. His beard is worth eight points alone.

1st Q

• Chuck wishing he had hair, great banter.
• Ellis is gonna get 40.
• How can Chuck say the Warriors don’t run plays when the Raps have maybe two.
• Block…..break…..layup…...rinse and repeat.
• Sam did not have his “girl phone voice” when he did Coaches edge.
• 18-4, huge dunk by Pietrus.
• Raps cut it to nine.
• AP is bringing it.
• Calderon is out of his league against The Beard.
• Way to check in the game Carlos. Was shot that from the half?
• 27-11, I may actually go to bed before 1am.
• Here comes TJ, fully charged and ready to rumble.
• AP is a hit man.
• The poor rebounding is starting……No Alba sighting. I guess being prego keeps her away from the court.
• Al Harrington you are Chuck Swirsky’s X-factor. Al “who the F%& is Chuck Swirsky?”
• Nice one TJ, pass it to the backboard………a dunka dunk.

2nd Q

• I am gonna run to RONA and see if they can build the Raps some D-fence.
• Chuck, you don’t need to explain Golden Girls….it was not funny to start with.
• Pietrus, dunk.
• Golden State is up by 20, they turn it over and they look more angry than the Raps.
• Hump is picking up the slack. TJ is looking out of control again.
• Leo is smoking some good West coast dope if he thinks the Raps are getting back in the game.
• Timeout 49-36 G-State.
• Feeling some hunger, snack at the half I think, It means Crosby will be late for dinner cause he drinks Gatorade??
• The Kapono Situation as The Dinosity calls him, has checked in. Look for smart (not threes) shots.
• Harrington is setting up camp at the free throw line.
• I am a Legend tattoo on the Swirsk? haha.
• Offensive rebounds kill the Raps.
• Warriors have cooled off. Lead is still 10 but the Raps still have a shot.
• Man that camera man climbed right in that cheerleaders shirt on the promo.
• What is Carlos doing? Here comes Moon.
• At the half, not that bad, Warriors up 58-48.
• I need an Adnan break, see you in 15 mins.

We got a snow dump tonight in Halifax in case anyone is wondering.

3rd Q

• Here we go, I still believe.
• Baron is struggling but I still feel he will be heard from.
• Game is really slowing down. Good for the Raps.
• Down to six…..uh wait nine.
• Bargnani is going to sitting very soon.
• Three ball……okay maybe he will be out there a little longer.
• Action Jackson starting to heat up.
• Rasho with a big put back bucket.
• Ellis has a sweet cross over.
• Hot shooting third and the Raps are slowly chipping away. They need to make a few stops to get it under five.
• Bosco has joined me and of course is snoring.
• Stop showing the ugly cheerleader on the end.
• 80-73, Raps hanging around.
• Ohhhhh Rasho gotta put that in brotha!
• Turning point at the end of the third. Rasho misses a gimme……..Pietrus makes a crazy save and the Warriors add another basket. Rasho misses another short one to end the quarter.
• 86-79 Warriors.
• Raps have won the last two quarters scoring 31 points in each.

4th Q

• Ford is getting under control, making some nice passes and breaking down the Warriors.
• Just as I type that he goes wacko again with too much dribbling. Hump is keeping the ball alive.
• Charge on Ellis, here we go, time to get it under six.
• Bargnani has it going on!
• Gotta get those boards!
• Wooooo Delfino with the jam.
• 90-86 Warriors.
• Air ball by Kapono, that will hurt the ol’ percentage.
• I am surprised it is this close and yet I don’t have any feeling the Raps can actually win this.
• Kapono is getting some good looks, needs to stick em.
• Holy poop it is 1:28 AM and we have a tie ball game.
• Serious banker by TJ.
• I think The Beard is going to take over.
• TJ is doing it all and I will take it. We have the lead.
• Ellis puts TJ on the floor, free throws the rest of the way for the Raps.
• This game is right there for the Raps to take.
• Ford is starting to hog it again.
• Call a time out Sam, it is geting away.
• WTF is TJ doing??????? Brutal offensive set.
• 101-96 Warriors, I wonder if they give out pizza? The way G-State scores I doubt it.
• Brutal turnover on Bargs.
• They fight all the way back to take the lead and they fall apart.
• The Raps at least can’t turn it over on the free throw line.
• Pietrus fouls out.
• Ford is scoring but still not involving the others.
• I think the Raps chance has passed. G-State is starting to hit the long shots finally.
• The Beard is taking over. 112-103.
• I think I figured it out. TJ is trying to make up for all the shots he did not take while he was out.
• Mike James called, stop trying to steal his game.
• Baron ices it with a jumper.
• Good effort but not enough breaks, good shots or big stops for the Raps.
• BTW Cuzoogle predicted a 117-100 final.
