Good day everyone how is it going? I have a few moments before getting on with the day over here at Cuzoogle HQ and thought I would check in and tell you what was going on. The sun is beaming this morning and it looks a lot nicer out there than it probably is (the image above is from Wednesday eve). Still cold and a lot of snow on the ground but I am keeping optimistic that the spring weather is very, very close. Here is what else is going on with me these days.

Guest from the West

Well not that far west but Ontario is technically west of us so it counts. Tonight Katie’s mom is hitting Halifax for a weekend of teaching Yoga. She will be staying with us and doing the yoga thing by day and having fun with us by night. It will be a lot of fun to see her and I know Katie is looking forward to catching up with her mum. I bet there will be pictures so stay tuned to see what we get up to. One thing is for sure, Bosco will be going bananas.

Blogging is going well

Cuzoogle and The Chocolate Dog Blog are doing really well since I moved them into their own host. It still takes a few months to really see what is going on but the traffic is great, there is a little bit of money coming in and it gives me something to fill my time and to help me learn a lot of great new skills. I recently discovered the wonderful world of google analytics and that can become very time consuming, checking out every little detail of how your site or blog works.

The Farm is groovy

Bosco and Mercy are the same and happy duo they always are. Boss as I type is laying on the floor sighing for his daily walk. He goes to the vet next week for his annual tune up. Hope there are no surprises. Mercy is still a cool cat although the amount of hair he sheds can be over the top.

The Hunt for Red Job-tober

Still looking and applying for various jobs in my field. No real bites yet but I am not giving up of course. EI is allowing me to hold out for something I really want to do and I have been doing some more freelance writing that has been a nice bonus. I keep getting this feeling it is all about to change and a job is coming very soon. I mean March Madness starts next week so I figure those are the days I don’t want to be working, so of course I would not be surprised if something comes up. Will keep you posted.

Donair safety report on way

From today’s Herald

A national donair safety committee is expected to table its report in May.

“Of all the provinces in the country, we have the most input into this,” Mike Horwich, director of food protection with Nova Scotia’s Agriculture Department, said Thursday.

There have been three E. coli outbreaks in Canada since 2004 traced back to donairs, with all three occurring in Alberta.

But Halifax is recognized as the national capital for consumption of the spicy meat concoction and legendary late-night snack of bar-goers.

Cooking with Cuz

No new recipes this week since Katie was in Saint John but I am sure there will be more soon. I know there are a few of you who read the blog just for those so I don’t want you going elsewhere.
