Ah that one was up for grabs and the Raps needed to take it. In the end it was not getting boards at the right time, not finding Kapono more (yes it is true) and some serious miscommunication between Sam and team that did them in. I am pretty beat after a long day of watching basketball (NBA and college) and I need to go to bed and purge the Raps from my brain to start a fresh day. Crap they play Utah tomorrow night, guess it won’t be that relaxing after all.

I almost thought tonight was the night that Chuck would bust out

“No need for Viagra, I’ve got a Kaponer!”

But sadly the Raps did not ride that train and Kapono cooled off. This was the best he has looked since, well….he played with the Heat or maybe in Xbox Live after All-Star weekend. He was drilling everything and was passing and was even diving on the floor. How can the Raps waste a night when Kapono and Rasho pile on a lot of points?

Well it is easy. Calderon has lost his Spanish mojo, Jamario is NOT A THREE POINT SHOOTER, Delfino does not seem to add anything and Primoz pulled his groin in warm up. Way to go dude.

On a day that saw Rafer madness in Houston, Mo better blues in Detroit and the ABC crew say that Juan Dixon was a solid pickup for the Pistons, I am now wondering if this franchise knows what it is doing in terms of personel.

Losing causes that I know and a few wins will fix it but you really gotta look around the league. Do the Rockets have that much more talent than Toronto? Not really.

Today I was dreaming of Chandler, Maxiell or Battier playing for the Raps. Anyone of those guys would solve so many problems. Maybe one day.

Bargnani was useless tonight although I think Sam should just play him until he drops.

Anyways I am out of here, I am sure Raptors blog nation has a lot to say and I will read it all in the morning.

  • Who is Canada playing in Olympic qualifying??? I wish someone would tell us.
  • Wanted someone to say, Ford is going to smoke Douby.
  • The “Ask the Expert” segment has run dry of real questions.
  • D-Mart was anxious to get in the game.
  • My friend Edwin has been ranting about Toronto sports in general with some goods on the Raps.
  • I will leave you all with this question. What is the Raptors identity? What do they hang their hat on? Some teams are defensive minded like a Cleveland, some or offensive teams like Phoenix etc. What the hell are the Raps?? The team with the most accents? Would love to get your opinion.
