Toronto at Sacramento 9pm ET.
Have we all recovered? Are we ready to watch the Raptors again? I am not really sure there has been enough time to wash the sight of the last game out of our minds but that is life in the NBA. Another day, another game to blow. I hate feeling so negative towards a team that I follow very close and actually enjoy watching. I want them to show me something, give me reason to hope and of course watch the game past the half. Tonight it is the Kings, a team that is not great by any means but they have talent and they know when they have a wounded animal coming to town. The Kings could very well run the Raps of the court just like Denver did but you know what, the Kings could also lay an egg and I am kind of hoping for that later on this evening.
Has anyone else noticed the trend that I keep hearing on this road trip. The Raptors have not won (fill in blank) since (fill in blank). Has Toronto won a game on the West coast ever? Well that same trend rolls on tonight.
Ending a terrible losing streak won’t get any easier in Sacto. The Raps have not won on the King’s home floor in more than a decade. Considering where they have to play on Monday it pretty much looks like a lock for an 0-5 trip.
Can they end a nine-game losing streak in Sacramento and give us all a small glimmer of hope? I am not feeling that confident but then again what else is there to watch on a Sunday night?
Sacramento is coming of a 127-99 loss at Phoenix on Saturday, its eighth defeat in its last 11 games. So they will most likely be ready to notch a win and end their own slide.
Reggie Theus has done a respectable job with the Kings this year when they really were not expected to do much. They have talent and that seems to always be a problem for Toronto.
There is Artest and Kevin Martin and of course Mikki Moore who always plays well against the Raps (well not the first game of the year between the Raps and Kings).
The way Toronto played on Friday night Theus could play these guys and probably get a win.

Okay I know one more stupid Hang Time reference but it is Sunday morning.
The Raptors have to look in the mirror before they step on the floor tonight. They have to man up and start taking this whole NBA thing personally. Us against the world, whatever it takes but show something. Reports are they are sticking together and saying all the right things but we need to see it on the court. If they read the papers ( I know they do) they will see they are bordering on Leafs territory and you don’t want that.
A win will be a good start to get the media off their back for a short time.
Think about it this way. Steal a game in Sacto, get bombed by the Jazz and get back to HQ with Bosh coming back. Then they can refocus on fighting off the Sixers, Wiz and Nets.
I am not even going to go into who needs to do what tonight. They all have to play better. The key is to start off strong and not let the Kings get anything rolling. They can be beat and if you stay with them and play smart ball they will give you chances.
The Madness is what is on my mind today but I will be looking to the Raps to restore order tonight.
I don’t care if I sound crazy I am calling for a Raptors win. I have to hit post fast before I change my mind.
Raps win 99-95. Discuss……….
The good news is it looks like Bosh is going to test the knee against the Heat on Wednesday.
