Toronto at Utah 9pm ET

I would like to start off this post with an apology to the Raptors. After seeing what Denver did to Seattle last night (168 points) I know don’t think their loss on Friday was that bad.

Now on with the show. Toronto needed to win on Sunday night in Sacramento because it was the one game on the road trip that seemed like they had a shot. They did not get it and now have to play the Utah Jazz tonight to end what looks like an 0-5 West coast swing.

For as long as I can remember the Raptors never play well in Salt Lake City. Even during the down years the Jazz had enough talent to come up with wins every time Toronto came to town.

It won’t be any easier tonight.

Utah is an NBA-best 28-3 at EnergySolutions Arena this season and they have not lost since a 104-98 defeat to league-leading Boston on Dec. 29.

The Jazz will be motivated and hungry thanks to a 117-115 loss at New Jersey on Saturday. The Nets screwing the Raps again!

Carlos Boozer leads the team with a career-high 21.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.

Boozer is averaging 27.0 points and 14.0 boards in the last three games against the Raptors, including 23 points and 14 rebounds in a 92-88 win at Toronto on Nov. 14, helping the Jazz to their fifth consecutive victory in the all-time series.

With no Bosh once again look for Boozer to get drunk with endless buckets tonight.

Deron Williams is too big for either Calderon or Ford and the Jazz have their own seasoned version of Bargnani and they like to call him Okur.

Forget the fact that players like AK47 and Paul Millsap will go crazy with offensive rebounds, the Jazz are way to much talent for the Raps to handle.

Ronnie Brewer has had a nice rookie season and is just the type of player that seems to have career games against Toronto. So look for him to have beefed up stats tonight as well.

I have not even mentioned how Jerry Sloane will school Smitch on how to coach a basketball game.

Add it all up and it looks like another loss for the Raps and to be honest I don’t see it being close.

Can Kapono have two good games in a row?? Will Hump have a classic “you traded me and now I need to throw it in your face” game? We will have to wait and see.

Maybe Toronto has to lose on purpose because it was part of the Hoffa deal?? You know……we take that piece of shit off your hands and that gives us four seasons of wins no matter the situation.

All I know is I will be on the couch at 10pm Atlantic time full of hope and optimism and then slowly watching it all fall apart in the same way it does every night.

Hey it is better than watching Dancing With The Stars…….isn’t it?

Utah wins 109-98 with a lot of Garbage time in the end.

Am looking forward to seeing the Raps wearing green, maybe the Jazz will get confused and think they are the Celtics? Oh wait they blew out Boston just the other night.
