Tonight’s Feature Film

The Toronto Raptors decide to travel cross country to return from a West Coast trip after dropping five straight games. Awaiting them there is an injury-depleted team whom fans assure them is a “sure thing”. Meanwhile, T.J. Ford, a talented (but somewhat idiotic) point guard who plays for the Raps has decided to become a one man show and not pass the ball anymore. Jose Calderon (the other PG) and T.J. are thrust together on a road trip from hell all the way back to Toronto, and somewhere along the way, they find each other’s company to be tolerable. Now, what will become of the Raptors’ “sure thing?”

Yep you know the Heat are in town when I need to dream up a new way of previewing tonight’s game. What is there to be said? The Raptors know they have sucked, the Heat can barely put a full team on the floor and the fans at the ACC will go into mob mode if this is not a blowout win.

There is nothing to note about tonight’s game except the possible return of the Franchise, CB4. We need him back badly and it will be good to get a sweat going in a game that he does not need to dominate to win. Think of it as a game to get the rust of before heading to Cleveland to face the LeBron’s.

One funny thing I noticed is there are not a lot of lines out on the game. Meaning sportsbooks don’t even really know if the Raps are gonna win big or struggle to pull one out. Toronto used to be the best ATS machine in the NBA.

This will be a confidence game plain and simple. A chance to beat up on a team and feel good for the first time well since the last time they played the Heat.

No Riley, Wade, Shaq, Haslim, Mourning or Wright. Other than Marion doing it all by himself this game should be a “sure thing.”

Raps win 107-85, fans get their pizza and most likely throw it at T.J. as he leaves the arena.

I will mention that payback could come next week if the Raps really destroy the Heat.

Yesterday the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak beat up the Celtics dancers to the tune of 64% of the vote.

Guess what, next week they have to take on the defending champion Miami Heat Dancers. Yikes!
