Atlanta 127, Toronto 120 OT

Okay let me get the clock bullshit out of the way (sorry mum). Yes the clock started early and ruined one of the few great plays Sam Mitchell has diagrammed all season but it should never of come down to that. Almost every Raptor who touched the floor tonight had a great statistical game and they were almost to 100 by the end of the third. But just like some many times this season the defense fell apart in the fourth and the threes starting raining down for the home team. I don’t really want the Raps to catch Washington anyways but that one hurt, it hurt bad.

For those of you who were following the live blog over at The Dinosty, it was fun and thanks for making the game a little more eventful. For those trying out the Chuck and Leo drinking game, how is the hangover? I mean the buzz must of been solid before tip off. I think Ch-Eo covered pretty much everything on the list and then some.

So there was no clinching of a playoff spot, I think it is coming. A few things other than the obvious troubled me in terms of thinking postseason. The Raptors are not tough, Bosh faded in the fourth and the Raps still can’t close out long range shooters.

My dog who was sleeping next to me on the couch knew that you had to cover Bibby in the corner. So why did the Raps blow that one?

Bargnani had a good game but pretty much just in the first half. I think the only guy who did not have a good game was K-r-apono. Leo still tried to do his best car salesman job on getting us to bite on Kapono being a smart player. I don’t care if he is fricken Rain Man…..score some points.

Rasho is on fire and was having a blast, hell he nailed a three at the end of the first.

T.J. Ford had a very good game and had the game winner that was taken away. That would of been a nice comeback to the place he last left on a stretcher.

Does anyone think Chuck is on the phone to David Stern? I though the ol’ Swirsk was gonna get T’d up.

I don’t think the clock think would be as big of a deal if it was not Atlanta. They have messed up game times already this season and you have to wonder if the Mob is threatening their families or something. Is there a mob in Atlanta?? Do they really want the Hawks in the playoffs that bad?

So another letdown, another loss and another blog post about the ugly side of being a Raptors fan.

The good news is in three weeks or so it is all over and we can get back to beers on the patio and a stress free life.

So many options for game ball tonight but based on what I saw I am going to give it to T.J. for the numerous sweet assists he had.
