New Jersey 99, Toronto 90

So that has to be the last straw doesn’t it? Vince Carter fights of injury to score 32 points to beat the Raps?? I did not watch the game, hell I did not even know it was on until 6pm. I can’t even go into how far the Raptors have fallen. I did flip over a few times while watching the Final Four and just from the quick glances it looked to me like it was New Jersey that was in the playoffs and trying to roll into the postseason.

I heard Leo say Bosh is tired and frustrated. Well we all get tired and frustrated and are still expected to do our job at the best we can. Oh and we are not make millions to do it. I am a huge CB4 fan but it is time to take of the baby glove and call the guy out. He is the franchise and our best player and it is time for him to make it happen or at least clank some heads together.

They compare him to KG all the time. What would Garnett be doing in this situation? Yep, he would be calling out players and doing whatever possible to get the best out of his team.

If it was not for Rasho this team might not even be in the playoffs. That is all I have to say on this, I have other issues and annoyances to deal with besides the Toronto Craptors.

Wordpress 2.5 booooo

The blog is messed up, it is not working at top level performance and I blame Wordpress. Since upgrading yesterday the following issues are still not resolved.

  • Popularity plugin is toast and not update yet.
  • Adsense plugin is not working, no update.
  • Top comments plugin works but has some fatal error that blocks me from using my widgets, so it is out of the mix for now.
  • For whatever reason my feedburner status button is still there but invisible (at the top of the blog where the blank spot is about the technorati rank). It shows up in IE but not FF. Weird.
  • The backend is slower than government policy.

I am glad I did the upgrade on a weekend and not on a day that SI.com or something picked me up. Anyone else having beefs or have solutions to the problems I mentioned?

I can only hope it gets better and things start to get fixed. Want my advice, hold out as long as you can.

The Final Four

Two very different games last night and really both did not have a lot of drama. Memphis is a good team and finally getting respect for it. I never even once felt that UCLA had a chance in that game. Rose is going to be one good NBA player.

The Kansas start was insane and it was enough to hold off a charging Heels team. I am not a UNC guy so it was fun to see them get blown out early but at least they made it worth watching in the second.

I needed Kansas and Memphis to keep my slim outside shot at second place in the pool I am in so I will be cheering for the Jayhawks on Monday night.

Weekend Stuff

Other than spending way too much time trying to fix the blog and curse at Wordpress this is what else has gone done on Kline.

  • We did a big grocery shop and got ingredients for two home cooked meals.
  • I made meatloaf and mashed potatoes last night and Katie is making some cheese and chicken dish with roasted tators and greens tonight.
  • The weather has been cold, wet and dreary so it has not made us want to do much other than be at home.
  • Today I don’t think there is any sports on worth watching so we may go out and do something. The sun coming out would really help make me want to get outside.

Bubbles Mansion

Met up with Katie on Friday for lunch downtown and wanted to share the restaurant with you. For all the fans of the Trailer Park Boys it is a place you will have to eat one day.

Yep it is called Bubbles Mansion and it is a TPB themed place to eat. Next time you are in Halifax it is worth checking out for the great menu and for all of the TV show stuff spread everywhere. There are shopping carts hanging from the ceiling, TVs playing the show in every corner and a very local menu. Have you ever heard of lobster grilled cheese?

I had a lamb burger that was pretty tasty and listed as one of the house specials. I will want to go back because there were numerous items on that menu I want to try.
