From time to time Cuzoogle will sit down with someone who we feel needs more time in the spotlight. It could be to promote their blog, newest record or latest cause. Whatever it is , you will all learn 10 things that you might not of already known about that person.

Edwin Hawkeswood - “Domination in the post is the key to life.”

Eddie or Edwin as he likes to be called in social circles has been a member of the Cuzoogle family since the very beginning. Memories extend to going for free tea during breaks at TSN to walking around Toronto with a case of beer. Our love of hating the Leafs and their fans bonded us very quickly as friends and even though we are spread across the country the same inside jokes live on.

Edwin adds a bit of a Motown bias to the blog. Despite growing up red and white, Eddie is all things Pistons, Red Wings and Tigers. He prefers not to add the Lions to that list although I know Eddie still has a picture of Barry Sanders on his wall hanging just above his 47 pairs of sneakers.

Now that Edwin is a dad he is trying to win the battle of finding time for work, pleasure and his family. Always a joker but never a joke, Edwin is one of those people you just know will dominate in whatever post he enters. That and he will never go that long without having a six inch pizza sub.

Cuzoogle sat down for 10 questions with Edwin recently and this is what we learned.

1. Name and occupation: Edwin Hawkeswood - Floor director for Leafs, Raps, Jays games and more. Look close and you will see me sitting at the scorers table near the visiting team’s bench. Keep an eye out for my evil grin.

2. Born in: Windsor, Canada

3. Favourite sports teams: Detroit based non-NFL squads

4. What would you rather be doing than your current job?: Cross training.

5. How has being a father changed your life?: Positively. I waste less time on unimportant issues.

6. Best story from sitting courtside at the Raps games: I was sitting beside Eric Smith (he does radio for the games) and I knew that he was coming back from a commercial break. It was a boring game, but Eric was trying to do his best. Anyway, as he welcomes back the listeners, I show him a picture of a naked lady that I had drawn on the back of my stats sheet. He started to laugh, held his composure, wasn’t impressed, but appreciated the attempted humour. That or when Hulk Hogan walked in to a Raptors game.

7. What team from Detroit will win a title next?: Which ever ends first, the Cup or NBA finals.

8. Do you miss the days at TSN?: Not at all.

8A. Not even George in Master??: Not at all.

9. What are you goals for the rest of 2008?: Write more, move into our new house, and try to squeeze in a couple small vacations.

10. Finally if you could have a beer with anyone in the world, who would it be?: Bono. Again.
