Good morning everyone, can I just tell you how nice it is to be typing a post again after four days of pain. I love to blog and manage my blogs and share information with the world so as you can imagine it has been hard staring at the same content basically since Friday.
There has been so many things going on that I normally would of posted about, changes to the site I wanted to make and of course sharing all of the links of blogs associated with Cuzoogle.
The problems have been endless and the time spent trying to fix them have been stressful and confusing. Despite what you may think, when something goes wrong with a WordPress update, there is not exactly a support team waiting to help. I have six threads currently in the WP forums about various problems from the upgrade to 2.5 and then to 2.5.1 and all six are unresolved and full of people with the same problems.
The big thank you goes out to Bryan from GrandmasterB. I met Bryan through blogging and to be more exact through dropping Entrecards to his site.
Ever since my first problems over three weeks ago, Bryan has been commenting and eventually just taking over the fixing process with little help from me.
He has done fresh installs of WP a few times, tested plugins, tested servers and done all of the guess work that has gone to reaching this point. The crime has not been solved yet because there is still an annoying script error when posting but I feel we have come far.
This is not some case the the CSI teams can solve in an hour. This is a large and painful trial and error ordeal thanks to the lack of helpful info in the WP forums.
So please help me out and go check out Bryan’s growing blog about graphic design and web development. I am not saying he is fielding questions for figuring out your setup but if you ask nicely I am sure one day he will get to it. I think Cuzoogle has taken a lot out of him and I truly appreciate the work he did.
So where does that leave me? Well I am days behind on posting. I was not able to chime in as the Raptors season came to an end and the Babes of Survivor Final Four tourney has been put on hold.
The hockey playoffs are rolling along and I am way behind in rolling blog joints. I can only imagine how Arsenalist has been spending the end of his work days with no blog joint.
Cuzoogle will be kicking into offseason mode since the Raptors are done. Sure I will post about any news they have with all of the upcoming moves that should be made but generally this will be a time of more random posts. Music, movies, cooking and daily life will be filling the pages more and more as well as the standard NBA news.
The NBA postseason has been really dull to date so I don’t feel I have missed out on that too much. Last year’s playoffs kind of was the best from the start and went downhill. Maybe this year will be different and actually get some drama late in the playoffs.
On top of everything else there has been some family stuff going on, I have been trying to secure one of those nine to five jobs that everyone seems to have and going through yet another adjustment period with Katie’s job.
Does not seem to hit you until it all comes at once and with no blog to work on as an outlet the last few days have been a little different. A little less routine and it is nice to get back to how things usually are.
One nice surprise is that Google has rolled out their latest Page Rank updates and after less than three months Cuzoogle has been slapped with a PR2. Basically it just means the higher the number the better Google likes your blog or site. That can be turned into better numbers for advertising.
I have had a chance to sit back and look at the blogs from the sidelines and can see things that need to be improved and new ideas to try. Kind of like when the athlete is injured and has to sit on the bench. You see things you would not normally see when you are in the game. So we shall see what happens when I get all caught up and Cuzoogle is rolling full steam again.
I thank you for all not leaving and never coming back. There have been days when you have probably stopped by and the site was down or all messed up and wondered what the hell was going on. Welcome to the painful world of upgrades.
I hope to find WordPress fun to use some day but for now I cringe everytime I hit publish and wonder if the site will go down?
Am I ready to be hit by Digg or SI.com with a flood of traffic? I have no way of telling until it happens again so we shall see.
Welcome to the offseason people, I hope you enjoy the ride and that Cuzoogle does not go down again.

Thanks for the great writeup Cuz. This has been an enduring experience dealing with your Wordpress installation. As I told you the other day though I feel more like House, MD than CSI; mainly because I almost killed your site five times before finding a remedy.
Hopefully, the other things that need fixed are minor and easily detectable. Those damn text widgets gave me a scare last night.

I have never watched House but I know the doctors on ER and Greys kill a lot of people as well.
it will get worked out someday.
Yes I would say it was all do to the Buzzzzzzzz.
Good luck with everything you have going on. It can be tough sometimes. Blog troubles always seem to come at the worst time, don’t they!
My wife’s name is Katie too and she also just got a new job. So I feel for you there. Good luck with your own search.
Thanks for the link and welcome back!
