Whether you want to admit it or not, if you are a Raptors fan you are probably starting to feel a bit of withdrawl. You know the feeling, turning on the TV and there is no Chuck and Leo, no CB4 and certainly no Sea of Red. What do you do with that time?
Now if you are a blogger like myself and many of the other bloggers out there, you are able to fill the void by posting your final grades or maybe some player analysis or just what you predict for the summer. That does the trick for a few weeks but then it gets pretty boring unless BC makes a major move.
Not everyone has that outlet to fill the gap in the week when there should be Raptors ball on to watch. I guess you could use video games to try and recreate the season and have Toronto win it all but really does that ever make you feel that great?
So what do most of the fans do to fill all of the extra time they now have until November?
We have come up with a long list that could help to ease the loss of your favourite NBA team.
By no means are these medical miracles but they are solid suggestions and could benefit the person trying them out.
If you have any of your own ways of how you get over the Raptors no longer playing, please let everyone know. For fans of other teams, you can easily substitute your own club in here. There are some real experts out there I am sure (Clippers fans).
How to get over the withdrawl of no Raptors
- Spend time with the family and I don’t mean the family members of the Raptors.
- Take up a new hobby like golf or cooking.
- Go on a trip.
- Watch the remainder of the NBA playoffs, or what I call, when the good teams play.
- Read more and that does not mean RealGM.com.
- Get out in the garden and start growing your own veggies.
- There are many TV shows on DVD. I would suggest The Tudors, Dexter or Sleeper Cell to name a few.
- Start a blog and try not to write about the Raptors. If you do, please link us.
- Head out to the movie theatre, the summer blockbusters are coming soon.
- Catch up with friends and family.

- If you have a dog, take it to the park and get some exercise.
- Listen to more music or check out a live band.
- Read a newspaper that does not cover the Raps.
- Buy a new computer game.
- Take on a home renovation project. Yes maybe a new room to watch the Raps in next year.
- Write a book.
- Finally figure out how to properly set up the home network you have been putting off.
- Be a tourist in your own city and visit places you may of thought not cool to see.
- Help a friend move even if you don’t want to.
- Hang that picture frame the wife has been bugging you about.
- Catch up on a giant pile of laundry.
- Learn how to use photoshop.
- Find the tennis racket in the garage and play.
- Spend more time on patios.
- Start your own business.
- Join a gym or train for a marathon.
- Try a new kind of beer, several if that is your thing.
- Go shopping for new clothes and stop wearing shirts with stains on them.
This list will grow when new ideas are thought of. Please let us know what you do to fill the time until the new season of Raptors ball is here.

If you notice, all those activities you list are mostly self-centred to create self-pleasure. IOW, sports ‘fans’ addictively need something that will provide them with ‘fun’. This of course defines the greediness of ‘fans’ .. give me something that will make me feel good or else…
True basketball analysts will switch their highs to the remaining teams and not bother spending emotional energy on the now defunct Raptors.
