Later tonight the Spurs will put their title belts on the line for maybe the last time this season as they stumble into the Staples Center to play Game 5 against the Lakers. Sportsbooks think they are done (+8 dogs), Lakers fans clearly think they are done and even the guys on PTI think the Spurs are done.

Can we really believe this great moment is truly going to happen? Or will the Spurs pull one out of the bag again and keep hope alive of another boring and low rated NBA Final?

I always turn to my hoops guru Bosco in these situations, he can’t talk because he is a dog, but he thinks it will end tonight and here are 10 reasons why we hope it happens.

1. Tired of hearing about the non-foul on Brent Barry. It happened, move on. Next time put the ball in Manu’s hands because he can sell a foul like nobody else.

2. Do not want to see the face Tim Duncan makes every time he thinks he got fouled, which by the way is 92% of the game.

3. There is no chance in hell of seeing this again.

4. We will get to see what Lakers player Eva Longoria attaches herself to because she probably has a contract with ABC to be shown 10 times a game in the NBA Finals.

5. Michael Finley and Big Shot Bob may just retire because they have proved themselves useless.

6. So the series does not go back to San Antonio. Hearing the Spurs PA announcer say “Here Come the Spurs” in that nasally voice or that clicking noise from the loud speakers makes me want to jump off the roof.

7. No more Closer advertising!

8. No more shots of the Alamo.

9. The Lakers are an exciting team to watch and no matter who they play in the Finals it will be enjoyable for fans.

10. So I don’t have to write about the Spurs again until next season. Can you tell I don’t like them?
