Two things that I keep telling myself I am going to stop watching ended last night and yes I watched both. The season finale of Lost was on at the same time as the season finale of the San Antonio Spurs. That is a lot of drama to take in for one evening so I wanted to take a look back.
Lost is a show that I have watched since day one and I have had my highs and lows with the story. The season one ending still goes down as one of the best, in fast season one was amazing. Then the story line got about as confusing as what exactly is a flagrant foul in the NBA these days.
Too many characters, too many back stories and too many breaks in the action due to strikes etc. Now I think I watch it because I have put this much time in, I don’t want to stop. I don’t want to be in the dark on that day when everyone is saying “did you see what happened on Lost?” So I tuned in and to be honest last night’s finale did nothing for me. I am tired of one person knowing everything and everyone else running around confused. It is really starting to feel made up as it goes. Anyways now we have to wait til next year to see what happens with Jack, Kate and that little bastard Ben.
Same goes for the Spurs. They are a great team I will say that but they have ruined basketball a little for me. Maybe is because you get tired of the same thing? Maybe I just can’t stand their players? Whatever the reason I have been hoping and praying they would get knocked out since the postseason started. I thought the Hornets had them and last night even though the Lakers were clearly going to hold on and win I had to stay up and watch just to make sure they were done. Kind of like hammering that final nail on the coffin.
Lost was confusing at times and the commercials seemed to come up fast breaking any flow. I can’t decide what I hate more. Looking at Tim Duncan’s face when he thinks he got fouled or listening to Jack yell and scream at everyone in the jungle.
Both Lost and the Spurs are finished for the year and I am pretty happy about both. Two things I have a bittersweet feeling towards are off my plate for several months now. I can sit back and give my time to better things and not worry about trying to keep up with something just so I am in the loop.
We saw characters die and leave the show and we saw most likely the end of Brent Barry, Robert Horry and Michael Finley as Spurs. At least there is fewer cast members to deal with next year. Ah but wait, I am sure there will new ones ready to add to the drama and stories for next year. I only hope that the Lost story gets better and the Spurs story gets worse. That would be ideal.
Did you watch either of these conclusions and if so what were your thoughts? Keep in mind to try and not ruin Lost for anyone that has not seen it yet. As for the Spurs, we all know they lost, so let loose on them.

1Well I watched the Game but not Lost.I have never even seen Lost, but I can agree with what you said about the Spurs .I am tired of em and glad to see them out.I had to watch it til the end just to make sure they were gone. When the Lakers went up 3-1 , it looked good and looked like they had it locked but just wasn’t satisfying enough.
