Cuzoogle put the word out to see who people are picking to win the NBA FInals. So far it seems pretty split between the Celtics and the Lakers. Who you got?

———-

  • Cuzzy from Cuzoogle: Celtics in 7, the fix is in.

———-

The NBA’s team of destiny is on right on schedule. The Lakers don’t play the same level of defense the Pistons do, which should give Allen and Pierce better looks at the rim. On the other side, the Celtics are the best defensive team in the league, one the Lakers haven’t run into yet in the playoffs.

My head: The Lakers in 6
Two words: KOBE BRYANT.

If I was to put money on this series, it would be on the Lakers, as much as I hate them winning, Kobe has been there and done it 3 times, no one on the Celtics have.

———-

  • Jeff from Buzz my Blog: Definitely the Celtics. They are due.

———-

  • J-Bru: I say Lakers in 7, buy my new cd!

———-

What is going to Happen: Lakers in 6

———-

  • Casey Rock: whaddya kiddin me? Celtics of course

———-

  • Katie Rock: Celtics in 5

———-

  • Bryan from GrandMasterB.com: I would have to pick the Celtics in 6. I’m not a big fan of Kobe the ballhog. KG’s always been a class act, so gotta go Celts.

———-

  • SooperKev: Apology accepted.

(I pick boston)

———-

  • Jackson Rock: Lakers in 5

———-

  • Jacob from It’s Fanthaistic: I am not a huge Boston Celtics fan but I do feel that their 1-2-3 combo will beat the Lakers in 6. What a classic match up…

———-

———-

Refs keep the series close and ESPN has 7 part series on Kobe’s Dirty
Affair.

———-

———-

———-

  • Justin, who is a die hard Pistons fan: Celtics in 6… Bahhh!

———-

  • Don from Don Chavez: C’s in 6, and hopefully I’ll be there to see it.

———-

  • Will from Brahsome: Lakers in 6. The Mamba does not care for your tears or “emotions”, Mr.

Garnett.

———-

  • Tim from the Law Offices of Bargnani & Associates: Lakers in 6.

And if ESPN Classic starts showing Lakers / Celtics Finals games from ‘84, ‘85 and ‘87 this week, I also predict that the reruns will draw more viewers than the actual ‘08 Finals from Game 3 onwards.

———-

  • Edwin of Team Madison fame: If no one has said it, I will.  The Lakers will win in 5 because of 2 men: Phil Jackson and Kobe Bryant.

We are coming off of a Stanley Cup Finals that was hyped up as a savior to the post lockout NHL.  Well it wasn’t.  Were it not for shady refereeing, the series barely would have gone 5 games.

The same can be said for this Finals.  Sure these are two history-rich NBA franchises.  But they are new teams on the block.  It won’t live up to the hype.  Fans will have checked out once the Lakers have the 3-1 lead.  And they will have it because Jackson will out coach Doc Rivers on each possession.

So who do you got?
