Okay so beauty pageants are far from being considered a sport but they offer two very important things that the male sports fan can appreciate. Hot women and betting. Miss Universe 2008 will take place in Nha Trang, Vietnam at the Crown Convention Center on July 14. That gives you all a few weeks to study the competition, study some more and finally make a well thought out pick.

The winner will be 3rd runner up Venezuela, 2nd runner up USA, 1 runner up Colombia and the WINNER BY KNOCKOUT MISS PUERTO RICO. She will be the sixth beauty to bring the crown home… Go Ingrid, Go Ingrid, Go Ingrid.
All the candidates seen very common. There is no one really pretty, they all have several defects. This is the beauty poorest edition of Miss Universe of the history.
Todas las candidatas se ven muy comunes. No hay ninguna que sea realmente bonita, todas tienen varios defectos. Este es el Miss Universo mas pobre en belleza de la historia.
I’m from Puerto Rico and I would like Puerto Rico to get our sixth crown but objectively I must admit that there are many pretty girls in the competition. Miss Colombia, Miss India, Miss Mexico are not only beautiful but fresh as well as Miss Thailand; Miss Brazil has a very strong face, I don’t see any opportunity for her to win; Miss Venezuela has beautiful eyes, but that it is; she tries to look so enthusiastic that does not look natural. But as not everything is physical beauty, we have to wait and see how they do in the jury interviews, how they answer questions and conduct themselves in the night of the event
Why are these predictions all Latinas or blondes. The inclusion of Ms. Jamaica as a “by the way” at the bottom is almost an insult to all dark-skinned contestants. There are no Asians despite the fact than an Asian won the crown last year!
As for the overrated Misses Latinas including Venezuela, Brazil, Colombia, all those cartel beauties with cash to spend on nips and tucks, someone mentioned here they look plastic, manufactured, antiseptic … well I agree.
Riyo Mori’s crown should go to another Asian whose beauty is untouched by scalpels and knives, and who only have their wit and determination to get them by.
My Miss Universe is either from Japan, Korea, Thailand, The Philippines, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, China, and Kasakhstan. If I forgot any Asian nation, please feel free to add it in.

i definetively have to be objective……miss universe organization has to choose a totally beautiful, natural and fresh girl to be crowned…..Of course VENEZUELA AND PUERTO RICO are two really beautiful girls, but if you are objective they do not look fresh nor natural…..they have a tremendous potential to win but they do not really represent the really beaty and freshness of a woman that we really want to see…….

vz has the personality to take it all… the judges will fall for that… she speaks clearer english than rico, based on the interview i have watched so far. so neither need to play the interperter card, which is always a mess waiting to happen. Usa is extremely polished and a veteran with several tries at miss texas before winning that, and cruising to the title of usa. that experience she has through these tries could hurt her as it makes them come across stiff and calculated while chatting with the emecee and judges. if she relaxes, it will come down to her and venezuela…. I also hope she wears her hair pulled back … she looks more exotic that way. she will definitely not be playing with the wardrobe… many many many guys behind her sewing away on gowns to choose from… good luck to all…

There is no option for Miss Jamaica even though i see her listed among the top 10.
I would change a couple. I would put in Brazil,Italy, Nicaragua, and Isreal. But the ones that I said I do not believe will win. I believe Venezuela is going to take it. I think puerto rico, and colombia should be removed. Colombia especially. There is nothing there. Puerto Ricans in the past have prove themselves as a beautiful contestants. Jamaica,Greece,Czech,Ireland,Kosovo,Belgium should leave with Colombia as well. Im being extremely honest because as a Brazilian I never said she should win or if she will. Well, I grew up in Kansas, US, and I know USA wont win, so im gonna give my prediction as objective as I can. I’ve always been a fan of Miss Universe Beauty Pageant. Im in Vietnam and will attempt the pageant. I’ve been seeing the delagates for the last two weeks, and I am certain clear about what each one of them can give. I most say they are all beautifull!
