We are getting closer and closer to some highly competative hoops once again and that means it is time to make some wagers (if you are into that). The Americans of course are the heavy faves to win the gold but as previous years have shown, they don’t always get it done. The world has caught up and with almost every team chalk full of NBA talent, there are many countries that could pull off the upset and send the American’s home without a gold again.

Looking at how 2008 has gone in the sports world it is hard not to bet on Spain. Euro 2008, Rafa, Sergio….if any team can steal gold it is the Spaniards. I just hope Jose Calderon does not get hurt or that will make things tense in Raptor land.
