Now this is proof that the summer hoops news is grinding to a halt in terms of the Toronto Raptors.

The Raps are holding their Irish Spring Dance Pak auditions at ACC on July 27th at 9:00 AM. To spice up this story a little we came up with a list of dancing female movie characters that should be in Toronto to try out.

It is not too late for you to sign up and try to make the team but time is running out. Check out last season’s gang and see if you think you would fit in.

Raptors forward Jason Kapono will take part in the selection of this season’s Dance Pak as he will be an honorary judge. Nice work J, you can show them some dance (three) pointers and your All-Star Weekend three-point shoot-out trophies.

Also for the first time ever fans will have an opportunity to be part of the selection process through a series of contests run by The Score and Raptors.com. Once I figure these out I will be happy to post.

Now that sounds all well and good but if the Raps really want to put asses in the seats at the ACC, they need to step up the quality of the Dance Pak (as well as win close games).

I am talking of course about celebrity power.

As promised here is a list of dancing female movie characters that the Raps need to invite to the auditions so they can easily have the hottest dance team in the NBA.
