Happy Natal Navel Day everyone! WTF? Let me explain.

For those who are not aware, today is a civic holiday in most of Canada and in Nova Scotia we call it Natal Day. Here is a quick history lesson before getting to the good stuff.

The term Natal Day stems from the Roman-era way of saying birthday and was adopted in Nova Scotia as the title of the day to celebrate the arrival of the railway in the Halifax area in August 1895. The tracks hadn’t quite made it to the region at the time, but the people who had organized the party decided to turn Natal Day, which is also observed by Prince Edward Island, into a holiday celebrating the origins of Nova Scotia every first Monday in August.

So now that Bob and Doug are not the only thing you know about Canadian History, here is what Cuzoogle is doing in honour of having a day off.

We are turning Natal Day into Navel Day and that means at the top of every hour starting at 8AM (Atlantic time) until 8PM we will post a new and tasty photo of a Canadian hottie featuring her navel.

Pretty awesome eh? The only hard part for you is remembering to come back each hour to see who is next.
