<description>I think the 06-07 Raps win assuming a healthy lineup with Garbo and a productive Bargnani.

I like to think to compare teams while they're at their best. So for that 06-07 team, I like to rate them from when they were performing very well during Jan-Feb-Mar and am judging it mostly from that stretch because it was their best basketball. The 07-08 Raps never really had a great stretch because of the Ford injury and ensuing issues after his comeback, plus the Bargnani situation, so they're getting judged mainly on the whole season but primarily the second half.

- The defense was better in 06-07
- Bargnani was better his first season. During Jan-Feb-March before getting injured he was a very good 6th man.
- The offense was more dangerous because of those Garbo/Bargnani's size and shooting ability, it made it much harder to defend against.
- Anthony Parker's defense was far superior in 06-07 and he did a much better job defending top opposing scorers. He was easily the best defender on either squad.
- The Calderon/Ford situation became quite dysfunctional in the second half of last season versus an incredible strength for the 06-07 team.
- Bosh, Rasho and co. were all pretty much the same
- Graham gave more to the team in 06-07
- Mo Pete was a superior contributor to Jason Kapono for most of the season. Mo gave the Raps a good 1-2 punch off the bench alongside Bargnani. That was difficult for opposing teams If it was the late season Mo Pete that was in the coach's doghouse than this advantage goes to hell but if it's Mo Pete from February it's a big plus.
- Garbo's toughness and leadership gave the team more stability and will power on the court. I thought he added more to the squad than Jamario Moon did last season.
- Delfino is a nice plus for 07-08 but his contributions are coming from some relatively poorer contributions by players ahead of him.

<description>The 2006-2007 version was better ... with a healthy Jorge Garbajosa, veteran MoPete and an Il Mago who could at least knock down a perimeter J-shot every now &#38; then..
