We are sure you have seen this photo by now of the Spanish national basketball team. They were featured in a full page ad that shows the team pulling back at their eyes in a slanty-eyed gesture.

They do know they are playing in China right? Who thought this was going to go over well?

The irresponsible picture is likely to cause controversy during the games and could be interpreted so as to lead to accusations of racism.

Spain and China play today (yesterday?) who the hell knows with so many times bouncing around. That will be one rude welcome for the Spanish that could be of Michael Richards proportions.

As for Jose Calderon, the PG for Spain, does he know he might of just offended a large part of the city he plays for in the NBA? There could even be some back lash lingering into the start of the NBA season and for the first time actually put some taint on Calderon’s squeaky clean image.

Stick to handing out the Gatorade at halftime Jose.

Who wants to bet it was Garbo’s idea, he seems like a real bastard.
