Since most of Cuzoogle’s readership is based in the United States we wanted to share with you the news that Canada is having an election as well. It will not be as sexy or as interesting as the McCain/Obama throwdown but it still will determine who will lead our country and have a huge influence on our daily lives.

It seems to us at least at Cuzoogle HQ that the U.S. election has more sizzle and appeal for watching on TV and keeping up with in the news. It has all the elements of a great political movie with all the right characters.

Up here, we have four dudes that are not interesting at all, running in an election that will most likely end up with the same result as the current state of affairs.

So who would have to be running for the Prime Minister job in Canada that would attract American viewers to give a crap about who may win?

Cuzoogle has four suggestions that would make for a better race than the four current candidates.

Chris Bosh

He would make us at Cuzoogle stand up and vote for sure since he is one our favourite basketball players and quickly becoming one of the best sports stars in the country. He has personality and would shake things up I bet. Sadly he is American and his french probably is not that good.

It even works out that Bosh and the Raptors will be in Ottawa for training camp.

Elisha Cuthbert

Canada has had a female Prime Minister before so this would not be breaking new ground. She has been on TV before and can handle being in the spot light. There just seems to be too much room open for scandal with Cuthbert’s love of the hockey players. CBC’s ratings would go through the roof for debates though.

Steve Nash

This would be a no brainer. Actually one day it would not be surprising if Nash got into politics. He seems like a likely leader of the green party and would certainly boost Canada’s status in the sports world. Olympic athletes would get the funding they need and Canada would have a leader that the whole world would adore. The hair may have to go though and members of Parliament would have to always be ready for a no look pass.

Keanu Reeves

Okay this may not work out so well but you have to admit, it would make for great drama. The speeches and debates would give shows like The Daily Show great clips and show topics. The United States would watch and giggle but hey at least they would be watching and that is more than they are doing now. He could be “The One” we need to add a little Hollywood to the political game in Canada.

So their are the four new players in the battle for Prime Minister if we had our say. Would you care now?
