Hefty challenge as Eddy Curry tries to fit into Knicks’ offense

We all know Eddy Curry is a massive man, which serves him well when he’s rooted in the paint and trying to overpower a defender three feet from the basket. But being big in Mike D’Antoni’s up-tempo offense is not necessarily a good thing. Will Curry be able to cram his giant ass into the new playbook?
If big Eddy can stay on the floor, games at the Garden are going to look a lot like that show last summer where Shaq trained fat kids. The towel boys and girls better be on top of all that sweat that will be pouring off the Knicks center. This new style could be either the best or worst thing for Curry. His game has always been there but he lacks motivation and drive to do it all the time.
As a Raptors fan, he has always killed Toronto in the paint until New York decides to forget about him. That will certainly change now that Isiah is gone.
It will be interesting to see if Curry can take the challenge and become what we all thought he would when entered the league so young.
It is too bad there is not any YouTube footage of Curry’s face when D’Antoni was named coach. It was probably very bittersweet. Yes to a coach with a brain, no to a coach that is going to make me run my ass off.
It is always interesting in the Big Apple that is for sure, as long as Eddy does not eat it.
