This can’t be a good sign.
The National Debt Clock in New York City has run out of digits to record the growing figure.
As a short-term fix, the digital dollar sign on the billboard-style clock near Times Square has been switched to a figure - the “1″ in $10 trillion. It’s marking the federal government’s current debt at about $10.2 trillion. The Durst Organization says it plans to update the sign next year by adding two digits. That will make it capable of tracking debt up to a quadrillion dollars.
I bet when they built that thing they had no idea it would ever run out like that.
“Should we add more slots?”
“Are you kidding? If it gets to that, we are doomed anyways so who cares.”
Game ball goes to the economy.

Who exactly are the US in debt too, I thought they were supposed to be one of the richer western countries, we also have a bad national debt in the UK, is some fat cat sitting in a country somewhere with a big bag of IOU’s from the US and UK governments… I doubt it
2 more digits on a trillion dollars… wouldn’t that just make it capable of 100 trillion? Not a quadrillion…
Imbecile math FTW!
@FusionSamus: What you say is true, but the clock is at 10 trillion. Adding two digits would therefore allow 1 quadrillion
Of course, what a great site and informative posts, I will add backlink - bookmark this site? Regards, Reader.
