Google Adsense in Your Feeds!
Google purchased Feedburner quite some time ago and was rumored to be offering Adsense ads through your feed sooner than later. Well that time is definitely here! If you have a solid base of feed subscribers and need a simple way to place relevant ads in your feed content, then this is your way. Plus it works as a nice stat tracker. You can set it up pretty easily through your Adsense account under “Adsense Setup” and “Adsense for Feeds”.
A New Sports Widget
The other day a friend of mine showed me a new venture of his, sports widgets. His newest is called spwidgets and allows you to place simple standings, odds, schedules, or scores on your site and is completely customizable.
Bounce Rates, you need Lower them
As a sports blogger, you should be well aware of certain statistics for your site. One of those being your bounce rate. Your bounce rate is basically the rate at which people land on a page of yours and either leave or continue reading. The lower the bounce rate the better. Here are 2 simple ways to lower it: 1. Use a “Continue Reading…” link. 2. Link to your other posts, within your posts.
