Recently the offices of Cuzoogle added a new gadget to the mix that has not only made it easier to keep up with breaking news but it has added hundreds of new options to what we listen to all day.
We are talking about the new XMp3 player and thanks to matchstick.ca we are getting to test it out and share our experience with you.
Since we hooked up the XMp3 player, which was very simple to do, the iPod has not even been turned on. While working all day on various things it is so awesome to have sports talk radio to have on in the background. ESPN radio is the perfect way to keep up on the hot button topics that make sports blogging that much easier. It helps with post ideas and just staying in the loop of what readers may want to see.
When it is time to take a break or grab a bite to eat, don’t worry because you won’t miss a second of what you are listening to. This is because the XMp3 player is like a PVR in the sense that you can hit pause and it will record up to 30 minutes of live content. Then when you get back you can just hit play and not miss a beat.
Our other favourite feature of this product is the ease of scrolling though the channels and how the screen displays what is on at that exact moment. You can quickly shuffle through the stations and see what is on without actually tuning in.
You can mark down songs or artists as favourites and the player will alert you when that song or artist is on anywhere on the network. We were trying this out and for whatever reason, marked AKON as a favourite and now every time he is on somewhere, we get a beep. Someone really needs to take him off the list soon haha.
You can use the player with your PC as well and add your own mp3s to the mix. We have not tried that yet but did try out the online music manager. It was kind of slow and was not very smooth but that could be because of our computer. You use iTunes so much you get spoiled for how easy something has to be to use.
The player looks cool, it is small enough to fit in your pocket and we have not noticed any loss of signal regardless of where we went with it.
Other features you may like are
- You can have it alert you for stocks or when games are on for your favourite teams.
- The player learns what you like and automatically records content for you.
- You can upload audio books to it.
- With an adapter you can use it in your car very easily.
We have been trying it out for a week and are loving it. It works perfect as an office radio and once we look into getting better speakers, it will easily become something we use for the whole house.
We will probably stick to the iPod for mp3s but if you want talk radio or very cool themed music stations, this is a product you should look into.
For everyone at Cuzoogle, just having ESPN radio has made it 100% worth it.
Oh and in case you are on the fence, here is a special offer that you have to take advantage of.
Enjoy.
