Charlotte Bobcats at Toronto Raptors

Yes it is only a month into the season but this game is a gut-check for the Raps. How they play in the next two home games will really show to the fans what they are all about. The last two games were kicks to the balls and any team with any kind of pride will stand up and show us what they are made of. The Bobcats are not very good but they try and if you take another day off, Charlotte can win. We have been ragging on Sam pretty hard all week and yes he deserves some of the blame. But the team needs to man up in a hurry and start to live up to the expectations for this year. JO is a still questionable and personally I think he should hold out until Friday.

Here is everything you need to know about tonight.

The Goods

  • The Charlotte Bobcats have the league’s worst offense at 87.2 points per game.
  • Jason Richardson could be ready to return tonight.
  • Raymond Felton is averaging 15.2 points, 4.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists since Richardson’s injury.
  • Chris Bosh is having his best season in the NBA, averaging a career-high 26.7 points with 10.5 rebounds per game to rank among the league leaders in both categories.
  • In the first meeting against Charlotte this season, Bosh had 30 points on 12-of-19 shooting and grabbed 15 boards to lift Toronto to an 89-79 win on Nov. 9. Richardson was held to 12 points on 5-of-15 shooting.
  • Richardson, though, scored 27 in Charlotte’s most recent visit to Toronto as the Bobcats won 105-100 on April 4 for just their second victory in their last seven games there.

For Bettors

  • Under is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings in Toronto.
  • Favorite is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings.
  • Under is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings.
  • Bobcats are 3-9-1 ATS in the last 13 meetings.

Prediction

It will be painful to watch but I think the Raptors will show some toughness and win this one if nothing else but for pride. Toronto pulls it out and wins 102-95.
