Another Monday, another week of 10 questions. We continue our month long look at some of our favourite people we deal with and do our best to find some interesting tidbits about a long list of bloggers and at the same time open new reader’s eyes to their talents.

For day six of 10 questions we focus on the guy behind Steady Burn, Mike Hayes .


1. Name/handle/blogs: Mike Hayes, Steady Burn

2. Favourite sports team: I’m originally from New England, so it’s a predictable two-way tie between the Red Sox and the Patriot.

3. First website you check everyday (excluding email): It’s sort of a guilty pleasure, but as soon as I get to work, I read the Early Buzz on USA Today’s Pop Candy.

4. Babe you would like to go out on a date with: Eva Longoria. She’s kind of a has-been, but I can explain. See, Tony Parker and I have the same birthday; he is exactly one-year older than me. He’s got three NBA Titles, a Finals MVP, and her. What do I got? Not much. I’d love to get one over on Tony, even for just one night.

5. Favourite movie of 2008: Batman. Since everyone is saying that, I’ll also offer that Cloverfield was the shottiest movie I’ve seen in the theatre since Jurassic Park III.

6. What is currently playing on your Mp3 player: Q-Tip, The Renaissance. First album in nine years, and he hasn’t lost a step.

7. What is your day job: I work full-time in social media at a digital consumer PR agency.

8. When you think of Canada, what comes to mind: French fries and gravy, and Rocket Ismail.

9. Biggest sports prediction for 2009: Roller derby to air on ESPN…maybe, ok, at least on CMT or Spike.

10. Name one sports blog that everyone needs to check out: Hugging Harold Reynolds. Get familiar.
