Our first thought when reading this headline was “What the hell does Jamaal Magloire have against Santa?”

So we ran with it.

Just call him Santa “Clawed.” (good one)

Jonathan Bebbington was playing the jolly old elf during a Santa “Paws” photo event at a PetsMart store in Hamilton Township, New Jersey when he was bitten on the wrist and hand Sunday.

The event was to raise money for Penny Angel’s Beagle Rescue group.

Magloire disappeared after the incident.

But at least one person thought it was a Bobcat, not a Nets player. Maybe they got confused since Magloire once played for the old Charlotte team when they were the Hornets.

Unless The Big Cat produces vaccination records, Bebbington will have to receive rabies shots as a precaution. He’s already had a tetanus shot.

There you have it. Santa and Elf actors need to be on the look out for NBA players who ride the bench and feel they need some attention.
