We continue our look at some of our favourite people we deal in the blogosphere with a guy who takes a long hard look at the Chicago sports scene.

For day nine of 10 questions we focus on The Zoner and don’t worry, you don’t have to be from Chicago to enjoy his work.

1. Name/handle/blogs: The Zoner. Zoner Sports.

2. Favourite sports team: Chicago Bears.

3. First website you check everyday (excluding email): Ball Hype.

4. Babe you would like to go out on a date with: My wife. With 2 kids we don’t go out by ourselves a whole lot. And she is a babe. I’d include a photo but I know how some of these sports bloggers are!

5. Favourite movie of 2008: Can it be anything other than “The Dark Knight”? And I just saw “Step Brothers”. Best Ferrell movie in a long time.

6. What is currently playing on your Mp3 player: The Constantines, Damien Jurado, John Vanderslice and too many others to list.

7. What is your day job: By trade I am a TV producer/writer/editor.

8. When you think of Canada, what comes to mind: I saw a Blue Jays-A’s doubleheader at the old stadium when I was a kid there on vacation. I remember Otto Velez was one of the players of the game. I think it was 1977 or 1978. I also think of music. I like a lot of Canadian bands. The Constantines, Weakerthans, Greg MacPherson and Arcade Fire to name a few. Also, great accents. And peace.

9. Biggest sports prediction for 2009: Forget this 2010 nonsense; LeBron gets traded next year.

10. Name one sports blog that everyone needs to check out: Argh–just one? Give me a few. I really dig The Hoop Doctors and Empty the Bench. I also find myself increasingly visiting Instant MMA.
