Toronto Raptors at Golden State Warriors
It is good to be back everyone. Over Christmas thanks to all the traveling, family time and the fact that the games were not on in Ontario, I took a much needed “Raptor Break”.
It was refreshing and good to cleanse the mind of that Thunder loss and all of the crap that has been going on with this team. So what happens while I am on this break? They win two games and from what I read, they showed signs of turning things around.
So of course I get back to town and check out the Blazers game and the Raps looked just how they did before I left. Great first half and then slowly piss everything away as the game nears the end.
So what team will show up tonight? I have no idea really. G-State beat the Celtics the other day so they are very capable and the Raps never play well out there.
Here is everything you need to know for tonight’s game.
The Goods
- Toronto defeated the Warriors (9-23) 112-108 in overtime at home on Oct. 31, led by 31 points from Bosh. However, the Raptors have lost their last four visits to Oracle Arena by an average of 13.5 points. They haven’t won at Golden State since an 84-81 overtime victory in 2004.
- Although the Warriors upset the reigning champion Celtics 99-89 on Friday, they failed to build on that momentum Sunday, losing 130-113 to the Los Angeles Lakers for their eighth defeat in 10 games.
- Golden State’s defense, which had held back-to-back opponents to fewer than 100 points for only the second time this season, allowed the Lakers to shoot 51.5 percent from the field. The Warriors are allowing an NBA-worst 111.3 points per game.
- Jamal Crawford led the Warriors with 22 points in Sunday’s loss after missing the previous two contests with a groin strain. Crawford averaged 30.5 points in four games against the Raptors last season while with the Knicks.
For Bettors
- Raptors are 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings.
- Raptors are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Golden State.
Prediction
Well the easy call here is a very high scoring game. If the Raps can manage a full 48 minutes they can get it done. This one is all about who can get stops. Call me crazy but I am going to pick a Raps win, 110-101.
