Tonight @ 7:15 EST the Toronto Blue Jays will host the Detroit Tigers on Opening Day for both squads. The Blue Jays will throw Ace Roy Halladay, while the Tigers will counter with their Ace of their own Justin Verlander, this looks to be a good match up.
Being a Tigers fan its seems the Tigers always get to face Halladay regardless of the length of the series. He’s a tough pitcher with nasty stuff and has been able to pitch through injuries throughout his career.
I look for him to have a solid game. Justin Verlander on the other hand is coming off a disappointing season. I however feel he will turn it around this season. He has carried a heavy workload and would only hope they try to be easy on him at least early on in the year. I look for Justin to give around 5 to 6 solid innings. It should be a great game that will come down to the bullpen. However it is opening day and anything can happen.
You know I won’t be missing a Tigers Opening Night Game.
