Today is Canada Day. For those readers not up to speed on what that means, it is the same as the United States calling the 4th of July, America Day.
It is Canada’s birthday and the whole country gets the day off to celebrate however they want.
Unlike what some people on Twitter think, we do not spend the day listening to Barenaked Ladies, do some curling, and eat maple syrup birthday cake.
We have fireworks, go to the park and BBQ up a feast just like our friends down south do (minus the red, white and blue).
Since it surprised us that there were people out there who did not know what Canada Day was, we figured it was a good time to list a bunch of awesome things about the country Cuzoogle calls home.
Here are 25 awesome things that we love about Canada…eh.
1. Birthplace of Hoops and Steve Nash

That was the dumbest fucking list that I have ever wasted my time reading. Thanks for taking 5 minutes of my life that I will never get back.
How is Canada home to the greatest trophy in sports when it hasn’t been won by a Canadian team since ‘93?
Not to mention that hockey sucks
You putz. It said “HOME” to the greatest trophy in sports, nothing else. On a side note, 92% of the names on the trophy are Canadian.
It is kept at the hockey hall of fame which is in Canada.
steve nash wasnt born in Canada
Gravy and cheese curd on fries? Other than that, it’s a solid list…
Steve Nash was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He moved to Victoria, BC, Canada when he was young. He has Canadian Citizenship but he was NOT born in Canada. Check your facts.
Please, American beer blew by Canadian beer with the microbrewery revolution around 1990.
Molson and Labatt are better than Budweiser and Miller, but they don’t come close to even our standard micros, Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams.
Get out of the ’80s
They mostly speak English !!
